Is it that a mini (or is it micro) lap top has more memory, processesor thingy majigs, and cache, or is it more than that? What are the fundamental differenes between a palmtop and a mini-lap top?A mini laptop or netbook typically has a 7 to 10 inch screen, and intel atom processor, 512Mb to 1Gb of RAM and can be used like a normal full size laptop. They use either Windows XP or Linux as their operating system and can run all the usual applications, except games.
A palmtop or PDA usually does not have a keyboard (except the Blackberry), and is typically used either as an organiser, satnav or multimedia device. Some also combine the functions of a mobile phone. A PDA is pretty useless these days.
