I already have one mini lop rabbit, but I am not at home a lot and am considering getting another mini lop to keep him company. My current lop has a reasonable sized cage and is comfortable in it, but there is not a lot of room. I am wondering if i may need a bigger cage for two rabbits. How big a cage would I need for two mini lop rabbits?4 by 4 feet. How big a cage would I need for two mini lop rabbits? Are both rabbits altered? If not you will need to have that done wait for them to heal and the hormones to die down and then begin the bonding process. You can't just put two rabbits in a cage and expect them to get along. Rabbits are territorial animals.

Bigger is always better with rabbits for two I would do nothing smaller than 4ft x 4ft (puppy wire exercise pen)How big a cage would I need for two mini lop rabbits?it all depends on how much out of cage hop time they get. If they get several hours daily to kick to their heels they need a cage big enough for a litter box, food dishes and water crocks(if you don't use sip bottles) and plenty of room to stretch out in. If they get a lot less then they need much more room. Don't just put them together though and expect they will get along. You are going to need to properly introduce first. Start with side by side cages(yes you may be cramped for a while) not touching for a couple weeks or so. When they show signs of wanting to be close like both lying together stretched out on the shared side of the cages start with short dates in neutral small territory but you need to pay attention here as fights can start up really quick and escalate to all out war.
