Any ideas on how to decorate a hallway and mini-float?i am a 1940s re enactor. your float should definitely have union jacks on it. you could download old war advertising posters from the net. just type in "1940s posters". play 1940s music in the background. if anyone is good at art get them to paint a spitfire. a picture of winston churchill is a must also the king and queen. the 1940s was a very patriotic time!!! you could also paint signs that say "unexploded bomb" and cordon off the area there. you could make the hallway look like a street party. loads of union jacks and party food etc. get the mums and dads involved. visit an old peoples/ residential home . they lived through it and will give you some brilliant ideas! hope this helps and hope you have a great time! the 1940s is my favourite era i dress in the clothes all the time!!!For spirit week, my class' theme is the 1940s.
