minicar: I recieved the microsoft works CD with the inspiron mini as a gift. I do not really want to go and buy a CD drive for the mini (cuz it doesnt have one), but i do have the tracking ID and CD. One is to actually configure the optical drive on that machine for "sharing", making it possible for your mini to use it (provided both computers are connected to the same network). The other is to copy the CD, transfer that over in one way or another, and then run it on a virtual drive. But After connecting the drive make sure that you have changed the setting on BIOS under USB enable the option which tells USB boot, and enable the USB emulation off.
